The word is that this song stopped a friend from committing suicide. It played on the radio in his truck moments before he acted on his mission, aborted the act, got counseling, and is doing very well today.

Almost a year ago, I loved this song so much. It was my Girlfriend’s favorite song, and it made her cry every time we danced to it. Things went south and we eventually split up, and I could never find it in myself to forgive her. But hearing this again has reminded me of how I felt, and that just because she’s not with me, doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve to be happy. And even though we’re apart, I feel better knowing that I can put it all behind me, and look forward for something better for both of us. And that is my wish.
